Beginner Guitar Lesson #4 – Guitar Strumming Lesson

We have teamed up with our friend Nate Savage of the Beginner Guitar System to bring you a series of beginner guitar lesson that will help you get started fast.

Alright so we’re getting closer to learning chords and actually playing some songs. In this lesson video you’re going to learn how to hold a pick correctly and how to strum the strings on your guitar with good technique.

Like I’ve said before learning proper technique as a beginner is important so there are no gaps in your learning later on.

Note how you use a similar grip on your pick for picking single notes or strumming all the strings. A lot of the motion is in the wrist not your entire arm. So watch the above guitar strumming lesson video and then go grab your own guitar and practice this on your own.
