Finding the Best Acoustic Guitar Lessons Online

So you’re ready to learn the acoustic guitar. Congrats, it’s a beautiful instrument and quite like the most versatile on the planet. You can play on your own, with friends and with just about any other instrument that won’t drown you out because it’s lounder.

So now the question is where can you take acoustic guitar lessons online? There are a variety of paid and free options.

For free acoustic guitar lessons online I believe the most popular is YouTube. There are hundreds of intermediate guitarists and professional instructors that post lesson content for free on there. You can easily do a search and find lessons on how to play the basic chords, notes on each string and even your first scales.

The downside to using free lessons however is that as a beginner you often need guidance on exactly what you should be learning. It’s hard to search for what you don’t know.

For this reason paid acoustic guitar lessons online aren’t such a bad thing.

Each instructor (and there are 40+ of them) is specialized in the area they’re teaching. So you’re sure to be learning from someone who really knows their stuff.

JamPlay Online Acoustic Guitar Lessons

Like Guitar Tricks, JamPlay offers beginner and intermediate acoustic guitar lessons online. Their lessons are divided into phases starting with beginners.

Each one is taught by a different instructor and covers more or less the same topics, but each instructor puts their own spin on the content.

I like being able to learn from more then one instructor since you may enjoy one persons teaching style more than another.
